Riverside, CA — With the energy of a music festival, SpeakerCraft’s Mini Gig transformed Atlanta’s Crowne Plaza on Powers Ferry Road into Business Boot Camp last week.
All day on July 23, SpeakerCraft execs shared specific ways to differentiate from the competition, forge strategic partnerships, and give clients superior reasons to contract new business.
SpeakerCraft’s repeatable strategies and joi de vivre were shared with the crowd of 60 custom installation professionals from the Atlanta region. Attendees were encouraged to ask questions and network with their CI neighbors.
One new marketing strategy is the Postcard Promo — lifestyle postcards designed to generate new business and reach new customers. If dealers meet buy-in requirements, SpeakerCraft will custom print 1,000 post cards with their the company logo that can be mailed to potential clients and target audiences.
A key component to the day’s exercise was to specifically identify personal and professional goals. “Profits alone are not enough. Products aren’t enough. It’s about the essence of great relationships,” SpeakerCraft president Jeremy Burkhardt said. “When you become a key to the system you are selling your expertise and your ability to get the job done.”
Cash flow was another big topic during Mini Gig. Bad times don’t last forever, assured Rick Schnell, VP of finance. Surviving a sales downturn requires discipline and innovation. “Find new growth opportunities like website marketing, forge new partnerships, [consider] additional subsystems such as lighting, security, solar, and structured wiring,” he said.
Burkhardt added that SpeakerCraft believes in supporting dealers through economic woes and even creates personal terms to help get business back in the black.
Jason Markley, SpeakerCraft’s director of sales, shared specific techniques in the “Sales 101” segment. He advised dealers on how to communicate effectively, identify clients, and make personal connections that will resonate.
VP of marketing Dave Donald’s riveting talk motivated the crowd to remember the magic of this business. To start creating our own realities we must focus on the positive: “Ask yourself, what brings you joy? What makes you laugh? What do you view as an accomplishment? What do you admire in others?”
Take risks and expect rejection, but persist anyway, Donald enthused. The root of success is confidence. “How would your life be different if you knew your success was guaranteed?” he asked.
The next SpeakerCraft Mini Gig will take place today in New York and Thursday in Indianapolis.
