How do you rate the Concierge Service?
On a scale of one to 10, I would give it a 10. The eSommelier Concierge service helps us offer a full, turn-key wine management solution to our clients. We don’t have to know anything about wine. We can do what we do best, and the eSommelier Concierge staff comes in after us and catalogs everything for the client. By the time they are done, our client’s wine cellar is
completely organized and all they have to do is push a few buttons on the eSommelier touchscreen to see what they have, where it is, and when to drink it. I liken it to the CD and DVD ripping services, except more specialized.
For what applications is it best suited?
The install that we utilized the Concierge Services for most recently was for a very busy real estate magnate that loves his wine, but simply did not have the time to catalog everything he had collected up to this point. For him, the Concierge Service was the perfect solution. Think about it: you’re not going to sell a client of this caliber a Kaleidescape system and tell him he has to import his vast CD and DVD collection himself. This is no different... eSommelier Concierge is just another full-service solution in our portfolio that gives us an edge over our competition.
What features would you like to see changed?
None. The Concierge Service staff did exactly what it said it would do. It completely organized our client’s cellar in a timely and professional manner. In the end the client was extremely happy, and I have no doubt that he’ll be showing off his eSommelier system to his friends.
Visits clients’ homes to catalog and barcode every bottle of wine in their collections
Bottles are cataloged by country, region, winery, variety, vintage, bottle size, quantity, and location
Can completely reorganize the cellar, group like wines together, and assign locations using an easy-to-understand method
Off-site uploading of wine label images as well as reviews, tasting notes, and drink date recommendations from professional wine critics
Dealers can choose to act as the general contractor on a Concierge job, or simply turn the job over to eSommelier
the size of the cellar, amount of individual bottles versus full cases, clients can expect the Concierge Service to take two to five days
