Solus/Clements Loudspeakers has revealed its new SX – Solus Experience Home Theater System.

The new Solus H-PAS SX-4.0 HT system is comprised of SX-4.0 in-wall/on-walls and/or SX-4.0 IC in-ceiling speakers satellites, and the SX-4.0 CC Center Channel. A 3-channel model, the SX-4.0 LCR, will also be available for use by itself or with either of the satellite models.

Inclusive with this new HT system’s small size, the new SX-4.0 in-wall/on-wall is only 4-inches deep by 8.5-inches wide and 23.8-inches high. The cabinet size is compatible with 46-inch and up TV’s.

“No doubt the performance the system brings is exciting, but even more so is the fact that such is delivered from speakers so environmentally unobtrusive in size and take up no floor space,” said Phil Clements, president of Solus/Clements Loudspeakers and inventor of H-PAS Technology.

The new SX-4.0 CC center channel offers a dual 4-inch woofer two-way model with a neo driven 1-inch silk soft dome, all in a D’Appolito design layout. Aesthetically matching the SX-4.0, it is effectively 2 cabinets in one, each woofer being in its own tuned enclosure. The center channel serves as an additional pair of speakers, adding H-PAS impact and output for increased sound and excitement.

Clements has engineered a new 12-inch powered subwoofer, the SX 12DT. Though not itself an H-PAS design, it is specifically tuned for the H-PAS SX HT System. Designed to be used as either a high quality powered sub for any system with both vents open or exclusively used in the SX H-PAS theater system with one vent open, its ideal performance is from 40Hz down, the bottom octave of audible sound.

“Using the SX system satellites, which are strong down to 45Hz, it is like having 4-6 additional tight sounding subs placed around the room with dynamic bass in the 40-80Hz frequencies,” said Phil. “Bringing in the sub properly from 40Hz down makes it disappear even more in the room complementing the tight, dynamic sound of the satellites. The sense of ‘being there’ in the movie scene is extraordinarily heightened.”

For those that would like to hide the satellite speakers to complete a 5 or 7 channel H-PAS SX HT System, the new Solus H-PAS SX-4.0 IC in-ceiling speakers are the same size as the SX-4.0 and retrofit into any ceiling.

In a cost savings system format, Solus is offering a new, H-PAS 3-channel SX-4.0 LCR speaker. The LCR’s left and right channels are each in its own enclosure like the SX center channel and fully H-PAS loaded. The center channel is also in its own sealed enclosure, engineered for clean, coherent vocal range frequencies and up.
