Home Theater Week: Rethinking Home Cinema Case Studies

Tales of teamwork and the realization of a client’s private cinema dreams can be a powerful sales tool and raise awareness for our services.

Home theater case studies are often less about the people and more about the custom installation profession. This is understandable and in fact appropriate, as case studies are commonly created for professional publications and readers. However, that is not the case with the Cinema Stories that we feature in The Cinema Connoisseur. These stories are about the real reasons that individuals and families determine a private cinema is an obvious right choice for them.

The Cinema Stories are written to be shared with others who are considering a private cinema and, in addition to the home cinema experience, they also reveal the advantages of teamwork where a client benefits when a theater designer, integrator, builder, architect, interior designer, and others work in harmony, each bringing their best, exclusively.

The creation of a case study in this manner can illustrate to your clients and potential clients the highest levels of home cinema creation in a way that photos alone could never do. And, once the stories on shared on social media, there is no telling how far the message can spread.

Home Theater Week - Paradise Theater - Case Studies

We feature Cinema Stories in each issue of The Cinema Connoisseur, but this one from the premiere issue, entitled “The Tale of Two Cinemas,” is one of my favorite examples. Much is said about “The Experience,” but few match the eloquence of this cinema connoisseur’s views. “The Tale of Two Cinemas” relives the journey of creating two extraordinary private cinemas. The results and our client’s enthusiasm will inspire us all to seek out and share the truly finer things!

Check out this quote from the client: “To me, it’s all about the ability to have these really beautiful, shared experience. You get a sense that you’re alive and you’re engaged and you’re really doing things with people. You’re enjoying that engagement with other people.”

And, yes, I did write it myself, but this story does have it all — including a client who deeply appreciates the shared experience a true high-end cinema can provide and how Paradise Theater collaborates with the team, including industry heavyweights Robert’s Home Audio & Video, PRO Audio Technology, and Fantastic Theaters, as well as design partners CLB Architects and Philip Nimmo Design.

Home Theater Week: Navigating Through Entertainment Seating

The idea of these stories is not to discuss how it got done, although a high-level view of that is certainly in there, but it is more to show how a team of professionals can work together to make a client’s dream come to life — even if that dream changes along the way!
