Q: What are Sony’s priorities and goals in attending CEDIA Expo this year?
JEFF GOLDSTEIN: Since the first-ever CEDIA Expo in the early ’90s, Sony has been an exhibitor and supporter of this event. Our goals are no different today than they have ever been — to demonstrate our latest performance home entertainment products for the Integration market, educate our CI dealers on how to deliver the pinnacle of performance and controllability for their clients, and, of course, connect with our dealers and partners face to face at this important industry event.

Sony will be running four different classes at CEDIA:

In terms of trends, which Sony televisions and projectors are most in demand from integrators?
Sony utilizes a variety of the latest display technologies in its BRAVIA XR television lineup. Integrators choose between these based on which best fits their client’s needs. Our market-leading, all-laser ES front projector lineup also offers integrators stunning picture quality and brightness at a range of price points to fit various budgets.
What has been the dealer reaction to the new line of 8K AV receivers that was introduced in February?
Extremely positive! This generation of ES AV receivers delivers seamless integration with all major control and remote monitoring platforms, including OvrC, combined with incredible build and audio quality. They have features Integrators need like 8k/4k120 inputs, certified Works with Sonos compatibility, Digital Audio Calibration iX for system calibration, and wireless compatibility with Apple AirPlay and Chromecast. Finally, we have added Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology that delivers an immersive sound experience beyond the limitations of physical speaker placement. We are demonstrating this feature as part of the theater demonstrations in our booth.
What will dealers who are interested in installing Sony products learn at the Sony CEDIA exhibit?
