Bluesound Collaborates with Audio Leaders for CES 2018

Company unites with music and audio technology industry leaders to showcase the benefits and advantages of hi-res audio streaming at DEG’s Hi-Res Audio Pavilion

Bluesound, marketed as the world’s first wireless music ecosystem to support hi-res audio streaming throughout the home, has a selection of products for demonstration as an official partner of the Hi-Res Audio pavilion at CES 2018 this week.

Located in the Central Hall (Booth 14735) of the Las Vegas Convention Center, and part of the DEG’s Stream the Studio campaign, the HRA Pavilion is designed to highlight the key listening benefits of hi-res music and educate consumers on the end-to-end process of creating music—from recording to production, to storage and to playback.

“With MP3s, listeners are barely getting five percent of what the artist recorded. Hi-res audio is giving the listener a chance to get closer to that moment of recording, which is closer to the artist’s vision than they were previously able to get with lower-quality music formats,” said Matt Simmonds, Bluesound product manager. “At Bluesound, it excites us that we continue to drive the hi-res audio experience through hardware and software advancements, as we see a trend growing among listeners demanding a richer, more engaging music experience.”

All the major music labels and leading technology companies including MQA support this year’s Hi-Res audio pavilion and stream the studio initiative. This includes 12 premium consumer electronics brands, a leading automotive OEM who are displaying a hi-res audio system, two companies with hi-res capable mobile devices, music streaming and digital service providers, and a studio stage for live presentations and interviews.

Bluesound is a smart music system of audiophile-grade wireless speakers and digital players that allow you to stream music from a library stored on your home network and many popular streaming music services. All controlled by a smartphone, tablet, or laptop, users can experience true high-resolution music in any room of the home, wirelessly. Bluesound is available at authorized audio retailers in countries all over the world, or direct from Bluesound at www.bluesound.com.

In addition to Bluesound’s booth at the HRA Pavilion, CES attendees are invited to The Venetian, Suite 29-236 on January 9, 10, and 11, to experience hi-res audio and MQA music and live demos of Bluesound’s first-ever wireless home theater system with Dolby Digital surround sound.
