Why exhibit at CEDIA Expo 2026?
CEDIA Expo is important to JVC because it provides a unique opportunity to connect directly with the integrators and industry professionals who specify and install our projectors. It is one of the few events where the residential technology community comes together, making it an ideal environment to demonstrate JVC’s latest products and technologies in person.
Projection is a visual experience, and seeing a projector perform on a large screen is far more impactful than simply reading specifications. CEDIA Expo allows integrators the ability to see JVC image quality, native contrast, vibrant color, HDR performance, and overall projector capabilities.
In addition, the show provides the opportunity to strengthen relationships with existing dealers while introducing JVC to new integrators and potential partners. CEDIA Expo gives us access to a highly targeted audience of decision-makers who influence technology choices for residential projects.
Perhaps most importantly, CEDIA Expo gives us a chance to listen. The conversations we have with integrators provide valuable insight into what end-user customers are asking for, where the market is heading, and how we can continue to develop our products to meet those needs. It is that combination of product demonstration, education, relationship building, and market feedback that makes CEDIA Expo such an important event for JVC.
What is the most exciting trend you expect to see at CEDIA 2026?
The biggest trend I see is the move toward larger screens as a mainstream choice for residential applications. Projection systems create an immersive, turnkey, film-like experience that is also easy on the eyes. As these systems grow in size and sophistication, several key developments will become especially evident at this show:
- Native 8K Sources: New sources, such as the Kaleidescape Strato K player, are bringing native 8K content into the home. As screens grow larger, projectors need greater pixel density to maintain image quality. To fully appreciate 8K resolution, viewers need a larger screen that appears virtually pixel-free. This also allows front-row seating to move closer to the screen, creating a more immersive, cinematic experience.
- Acoustically Transparent Screens: Screens are increasingly extending across entire walls, with the left, center, and right speakers built into the wall behind the screen. This approach creates a more seamless visual experience while delivering the proper soundstage and audio performance.
- Improved Color Reproduction and HDR Dynamic Tone Mapping: Expect to see sources and content mastered with higher bit depths and more sophisticated color sampling, along with emerging HDR standards such as Dolby Vision 2 and HDR10+ Advanced. These formats require displays capable of significantly greater dynamic range than traditional 21-point, gamma-based presentations. Displays will also need to support end-to-end 10- and 12-bit image processing to preserve image quality, color accuracy, and the full creative intent of the content.
