“This connected world is about to become even better,” said Jong-Hee (JH) Han, vice chairman, CEO and head of Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division. “AI has the power to make life easier, more inclusive for all, and smarter, better experiences will redefine how we live. Samsung’s broad portfolio of powerful devices, along with the pursuit of open collaboration, will help bring AI and hyper-connectivity to all.”

Samsung unleashed a tidal wave of announcements and updates at CES, touching on AI integration and advancements, innovations in its QLED and Micro LED TV lines, and sustainability progress and commitments, along with appliance updates and the expansion of Samsung Knox security to keep users safe across more Samsung products.

“As we look to a smarter, better-connected future, breakthrough technologies can help us be more responsible and inclusive about how we use our devices, which in turn can empower us to build a better tomorrow,” said Inhee Chung, VP, corporate sustainability center, Samsung Electronics. Samsung has made major strides in sustainability and has announced partnerships with Southern Company and Tesla.

The Samsung Neo QLED 8K QN900D now utilizes a built-in AI Processor, NQ8 AI Gen 3, which is equipped with an eight-times greater AI neural network and a two-times faster NPU than its predecessor. Thanks to the new processor, Samsung Neo QLED 8K automatically upscales low-resolution content to provide users with up to 8K quality viewing experience and sharpens fast-moving images via AI Motion Enhancer Pro.

Ballie, the cute, rolling AI robot first introduced at CES 2020 by Samsung, made an on-screen appearance, showcasing major upgrades and quality-of-life enhancements. The little yellow AI companion can now project images and videos on walls so that users can view key information for their daily lives, interact with other smart devices, and provide customized services to make life easier.

New and exciting product introductions included The Premiere 8K, the world’s first wireless 8K projector that features a 150-inch display, allowing a full-scale viewing cinema experience in the comfort of your own home. Music Frame, a speaker with a customizable cover that syncs with Samsung TVs and soundbars through Q-Symphony, brings enriched bass and surround sound with dual built-in woofers.

Using its vision of AI for All, Samsung has increased its accessibility efforts, providing innovative features such as a sign language feature that can easily control the Samsung Neo QLED with gestures, and the Audio Subtitle feature to help those with low vision enjoy shows and movies by turning text subtitles into spoken words in real-time.

Samsung also shared how they are focusing on improving and extending the capabilities of SmartThings through better AI technology integration, particularly through the use of spatial AI and LiDar9 to help devices learn how to support and understand users’ daily lives.
