Leaf, a custom brand of HD audio/video distribution and switching solutions, has introduced its cost-effective 6×6 LHDMI66P and 4×4 LHDMI44P matrix switcher packs.
Using HDBaseT Technology, both models allow the switching and distribution of multiple video and audio HDMI 1.4 signals to be sent over a single Cat5e, Cat6, or Cat6a4 cable to remote displays. Included in each package are the main switcher interface, plus LB1 breakout units. Each LB1 supports 1080p video, including the delivery of full 3D content, at distances up to 70m/230ft.
The LHDMI66P features six HDMI inputs, six IR control connections and RS-232, assignable to six LB1s. The LHDMI44P features four of each, plus RS-232, assignable to four LB1s. Setup is easy, with front panel buttons or by using any system that outputs RS-232. In the LB1 side, RS-232 output, or the connection of an IR blaster (optional) enables central system control.
Robust EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) management minimizes potential picture loss or dropouts; while Leaf’s unique Zone Lock mode enables a source and display to be locked together, which proves useful in ensuring successful 3D source and display matchups.
“With the LHDMI66P and LHDMI44P, we’re offering our customers everything they’ll need to enable high-quality, multi-room audio and video in one convenient package,” said Dean Vaughan, director of sales and marketing at Leaf Audio.
The LHDMI66P, with six LB1 breakout units, has an MSRP of $5,090, while the LHDMI44P has an MSRP $4,150 and comes equipped with four LB1 breakout units. Both are available now.
