Onkyo A-9050 Stereo Integrated Amplifier – The A-9050 combines the source switching and control functions of a preamplifier with a power amplifier capable of driving large loudspeakers. The power amplifier section features the company’s WRAT amplifier technology boosted by its Three-Stage Inverted Darlington Circuitry. The A-9050 features Onkyo’s DIDRC Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry technology to cleanse signals of super-high-frequency noise and pulse interference that otherwise affects audio purity. The A-9050 is built around a 1.6 mm anti-resonant metal chassis with aluminum faceplates. The power supply features two large capacitors and a high-output EI transformer. Solid copper bus bars provide each individual circuit with a unique link to the power supply, significantly reducing circuit noise compared to conventional circuit designs. A unique feature of this amplifier is Onkyo’s new PM Bass technology, which counters audio phase shifting by matching the phases of low- and mid-frequency sound waves, thereby improving mid-range clarity and enhancing bass response. The A-9050 features five analog inputs and one output each, so the user can connect a CD player, tuner, tape deck, etc. Naturally, a quality MM phono input and a subwoofer output are also included on both models.
All of these products will be available in the fourth quarter of 2012 with prices to be announced.
