Women in Consumer Electronics (CE), an industry organization focused on empowering women, building networks, and supporting career opportunities in the consumer electronics industry, has announced a new day for its sixth annual gathering during CEDIA EXPO 2014. The breakfast event, which has moved to Friday, September 12 at 7:30 a.m. at the Denver Convention Center’s Four Seasons Ballroom 4, will feature a panel discussion titled “Work-Life Balance: A Juggling Act,” centered around managing careers at various life stages.

The panel discussion, moderated by Samantha Smith, executive vice president of North America for Etail Eye, will explore work-life balance issues throughout career development. A diverse group of panelists will provide their perspectives in dealing with career growth and lifestyle dynamics at different junctures — from raising a family to thriving as a CE leader. Panelists include Deena Ghazarian, senior vice president of global sales and finance at Monster Products; Lauren Theobald, marketing communications manager at SANUS/Milestone AV; Nasrin Thierer, founder and CEO at Revenew; and Simon Wehr, director of marketing at Dana Innovations.

“CEDIA EXPO 2014 is a staple in our annual event calendar and we look forward to connecting with so many of our friends at this year’s show,” said Carol Campbell, founder of Women in CE. “Work-life balance is a concept we all struggle with throughout our entire careers. We have assembled an extraordinary group of industry leaders to address this topic and I’m certain we will all come away inspired and energized following our session.”

Tickets are now on sale for the annual Women in CE breakfast event at CEDIA EXPO 2014 via the Women in Consumer Electronics website at a cost of $25 for members and $35 for non-members.
