Azione Unlimited has announced the addition of two final Vendor Founding Members.
George Walter.
George Walter, vice president of Home Cinema for Digital Projection Inc. and Jason Sloan, chief sales officer of Dana Innovations-Sonance complete the team of professional vendor leaders. The Founders serve as the advisory board of the group, which will consist of five vendor members and six dealer members. The remaining four dealer members will be revealed in March.
“We are very proud to add these two outstanding businessmen to our advisory board,” said Richard Glikes, president. “We have continued to surround ourselves with the brightest minds in the business. Their experience and knowledge within our industry will certainly compliment the Founders already in place and provide our members unparalleled guidance to success and profitability. Our first advisory board meeting held last week focused on dues structure and member acquisition. The Founders recommended adjusting the dues to $750 per quarter and the adoption of a stiletto approach to dealer enrollment.”
Walter and Sloan join fellow vendor members Andy Oxenhorn of JL Audio, Keith Haas of Integra and Phil McPhee of the Harman Luxury Audio Group who were announced in January. The remaining four Dealer Founding Members will join David Daniels of ESC (Electronics Systems Consultants, LLC) and Mike Thul of Thul Electronics.
George Walter – Digital Projection
George Walter is the current vice president of Home Cinema for Digital Projection. Walter is a 25-year veteran of the display industry and worked in sales and product management for both General Electric and Barco before joining Digital Projection in 2000 and launching their Home Cinema business unit. CEDIA, CEPro, and Electronic House have all honored Digital Projection products with “Best of Awards.” Walter has played an integral role in expanding DP’s product line and distribution both in the U.S. and abroad.
Jason Sloan.
George holds a BSEE and MBA from Syracuse University and has extensive training in international business and product management.
Jason Sloan – Sonance (Dana Innovations)
Jason is the chief sales officer (CSO) for Dana Innovations. As CSO, Jason is responsible for sales of all Sonance, iPort, and TRUFIG products sold throughout the world. Jason’s extensive industry background with the design community and custom installation market has contributed extensively to the ongoing strategy of Sonance and the other Dana Innovations brands to develop awareness and demand for design-oriented solutions. Jason has been with Dana Innovations since 2006 and previously worked at Lutron Electronics for eight years.
Jason holds a BS in Management degree from Kansas State University.
