In a move to give residential dealers easy solutions to break into the light commercial market, BlackWire Designs has announced that the company is offering Yamaha’s CIS line of audio products for small- to medium-sized commercial installs. For Yamaha installations with mixed AV control, BlackWire is also offering an exclusive, newly released driver that integrates MTX series units with Control4 automation systems.

BlackWire’s new MTX series driver for the Yamaha CIS line will allow for matrix audio control of the MTX3 and MTX5-D audio mixers. In addition, BlackWire is working on developing a driver to integrate with the URC automation platform. Backed by BlackWire’s technical support, the speakers, mixer amplifiers, audio mixers, and power amplifiers allow dealers to provide complete audio systems that are can be deployed in restaurants, bars, offices, and more.
BlackWire’s line of Yamaha’s CIS audio solutions include:
- VXC ceiling and VXS surface-mount series speakers
- MA series mixer amplifiers, 1-RU solutions that combine two stereo inputs and up to six microphone inputs with DSP functions
- MTX series of audio mixers that support up to 16 zones and combine DSP functionality with built-in mixing capabilities
The entire Yamaha offering is backed by BlackWire’s core service and technical support and includes system design and configuration. BlackWire also offers a large marketplace of drivers and software for Control4 and URC automation platforms.
