BlueConnect Partners has announced the promotion of Colin Burke McClure to senior partner. The appointment recognizes McClure’s six years of contribution to the firm and his ongoing role in shaping its strategic and technological direction.
McClure will play a central role in developing the firm’s strategy alongside managing partner Avi Rosenthal and BlueConnect’s senior partners, focusing on positioning the firm and its clients to leverage emerging technologies, including AI, for long-term competitive advantage.
“Colin has been instrumental in helping steer this firm forward over the last six years,” says Rosenthal. “His judgment, technical depth, and steady hand behind the scenes have shaped not just our operations but our direction. We’re at a genuine inflection point right now, both as an industry and as a firm — AI is fundamentally changing how our clients build products, go to market, and compete. Colin’s ability to translate emerging technology into practical advantage is exactly what we need as we work to make AI and other new tools a real accelerator for the businesses we advise. This promotion reflects the trust the partnership has in him and the role he’ll continue to play in defining where we go next.”
McClure brings more than 25 years of experience across consumer electronics, connected home technology, IoT platforms, and SaaS, with prior senior leadership positions at Monster Cable, Niveus Media, Atlona, and MiOS. His experience spans platform and product strategy, emerging technology commercialization, go-to-market execution, operations, and the development of connected device ecosystems.
“The next chapter focuses on setting the standard for the AI discipline our clients will need from us,” says McClure. “We’re bringing the same rigor to AI that we’ve built into security and operations — first within our own firm, then into every recommendation we make. Get that foundation right, and AI stops being a buzzword and becomes a real accelerant for the businesses we advise.”
McClure’s promotion is effective immediately. He will continue to be based in the San Francisco Bay Area, working alongside BlueConnect’s partner team to serve clients across the IoT, smart home, and consumer electronics sectors.
