Salamander Designs has added Joel Hall to the company as director of commercial business development. The newly created role responds to double-digit growth across Salamander’s commercial business, as organizations rethink their meeting spaces and raise expectations for quality, design and performance.
“Demand for our commercial products is growing fast,” says Chris Discotto, Salamander’s vice president of sales. “As companies invest in their meeting spaces and the bar for ergonomics and design keeps rising, integrators, consultants, and enterprise clients are turning to Salamander for furniture that performs and looks the part. We saw that momentum firsthand at InfoComm. Joel helps us respond to that momentum and provide the high level of support it deserves, the kind Salamander is known for.”
The appointment comes at a moment of significant expansion in the commercial AV sector and follows record commercial engagement for Salamander at InfoComm 2026. As hybrid work matures, enterprises are continually upgrading conference rooms, collaboration spaces, and experience and training centers, and Salamander’s technology partners and their customers are growing right along with them. Salamander’s commercial portfolio, including AV Technology Cabinets, Tables, Media Walls, and custom furniture solutions, is designed to integrate seamlessly with today’s leading collaboration technology.
In his new role, Hall will lead commercial demand creation, building new relationships with end users, consultants, and national integrators while growing Salamander’s custom commercial business. Hall reports to Chris Discotto. Unique to Salamander is the ability to assess business requirements alongside integrators and consultants, define personalized pieces to meet exact needs, and deliver business standards that scale from a single building to campuses around the world.
Hall brings nearly a decade of commercial AV industry experience spanning manufacturing, business development, and strategic partnerships. He has built trusted relationships with manufacturers, consultants, integrators, and end users throughout North America, and is recognized for driving growth by connecting people and identifying new business opportunities.
“I’ve known the team at Salamander for a long time, and I’ve always hoped I’d have the opportunity to represent a company and brand like theirs,” says Hall. “Their commitment to U.S.-based manufacturing and exceptional, world-class products certainly played a role, but what set them apart was the reputation they’ve built, the leadership and the people who make Salamander what it is. This is an ideal fit for my skills, and it felt like the right place to invest the next chapter of my career.”
