Bracketron has announced the national availability of the iRoom iDock through dealers and distributors that support commercial integrators, including Magnolia Design Centers/Best Buy, ADI, Almo Pro, Audio America, Wave, Sound Products and other national partners.
The iRoom iDock is a powered, motorized in-wall iPad mounting solution for use in both commercial and residential settings. Available in portrait and landscape models, the iRoom iDock can be flush-mounted in the wall to seamlessly and stylishly integrate the iPad into any room. The iDock comes in Power over Ethernet (PoE ) and 110V models with prices starting at $599 to $1599. Bracketron’s iRoom iDock will be showcased at Booth 631 at the Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas.
“The iRoom iDock is an exciting advancement in home control that makes life simpler,” said Christian Johnson, vice resident of marketing at Bracketron. “The iDock opens new doors in home automation and integrates the iPad into the home in a fun and stylish way.”
A 2012 CES Innovations Design and Engineering Award winner, Bracketron’s iRoom iDock is a solution for in-wall docking and control in private homes, hotels, yachts, restaurants, hospitals, boardrooms, retailers and more. The iDock includes both power and composite audio internal connections, and features a patented motorized docking system that opens and closes the iDock to securely store the iPad. The opening mechanism is activated by a one-touch proximity sensor that recognizes when you are nearby and switches the iDock to the open position allowing you to insert your iPad. The proximity sensor can also be disabled to lock the iPad in place. When the iPad is inserted into the dock, you have total control of smart home applications on the device while it is also being charged.
Along with being available to commercial integrators through dealers and distributors, Bracketron’s iRoom iDock is also available to consumers through Best Buy’s Magnolia Home Theater, a store-within-a-store concept that caters to home theater enthusiasts.
“At Best Buy’s Magnolia Home Theater, consumers will be able to see and touch the iRoom iDock and experience its innovative and award-winning technology first-hand,” Johnson said. “Buyers will also benefit from the personalized service offered by the Magnolia team – from in-home consultation to understand their wants and needs to in-store demonstration and expert installation of the iRoom iDock by Geek Squad professionals.”
