Catalyst AV, the national network of 11 independent consumer electronics distributors, has welcomed its newest board member Ron Perron, owner and president of HCA Distributing.
Perron joins the existing board members of Catalyst AV who serve the residential and professional AV channels: Dan Haight (Pioneer Music Company), Chris Gentile (AHA Distributing), and executive director Helge Fischer.
Founding board member Wally Whinna (Allnet Distributing) will remain a special advisor to the network of distributors. Brett Neiderman (Tech Source Distributors) also will server as a special advisor.
Catalyst AV, which has 27 locations for their dealer/integrator partners throughout the U.S., is looking forward to the addition of Perron, who brings years of experience to the board.
“Having been involved with the board for some time in an advisory capacity, my goals are to continue to assist in building the Catalyst AV brand and to help maximize the groups value to it’s members and vendor partners,” Perron said.
HCA Distributing was originally the distributing face of Momentum Group Inc., a Colorado rep agency. The company started distributing products in 1996 and incorporated HCA separately in 2002. The two businesses physically separated in 2005 and have grown from a handful of lines to more than 80, with a second location opening in 2014 in Salt Lake City.
“The Internet of Things and networking systems in the future are going to increase in complexity for our dealer/integrators,” Perron added. “That’s why being a Catalyst AV member is so important. We offer our membership true value with personalized support; more so than the solely web centric organizations out there. We provide the level of training and one-on-one, face-to-face support that has made Catalyst AV famous and the Catalyst AV members unique.”
