Indianapolis, IN–CEDIA has formed the Professional Service Action Team (PSAT) to provide members with innovative and creative assistance and outsourcing services in training, marketing, promotion, consultation, and business development.
The PSAT was designed to give CEDIA members a way to easily locate Professional Service members who possess a wealth of knowledge that encompasses every area of the industry to meet goals and initiatives of manufacturers, systems integrators, distributors, and others. PSAT represents CEDIA members who provide expertise in product conceptualization, content development, public relations and marketing, post-sales support and other services.
Professionals who make-up the Action Team, are experts in their fields and have participated in the following:
Developed courseware for CEDIA University
Influenced and educated key publications and the community on technology
Publicized new technology through campaigns and product launches
PSAT is the next step to ensuring that our members are receiving the tools and have access to expertise in specific areas of their business, said Cathy Lane, CEDIA Director of Membership Development. We have over 100 Professional Service members and this is a unique opportunity for members to utilize the decades of experience these professional service members have to offer.
Most traditional CEDIA members already utilize these services from non-CEDIA members. The advancement of the Professional Services Action Team provides these members with a pool of talent within the industry.
CEDIA members will benefit from the knowledge the Professional Service members and action team possess regarding the industries market challenges and opportunities. CEDIA Professional Service members provide insight into different aspects of the industry and will be able to enhance members internal and external communications efforts. CEDIA members have access to all Professional Service members information through the online member directory at www.cedia.org in the Member’s Only section.
In 2008, along with the creation of the PSAT, CEDIA changed the name of the Consultant membership category to Professional Services.
