One of the biggest challenges facing the custom installation industry is developing new young talent to help it remain relevant. In effort to jump-start this effort, CEDIA has established a CEDIA Education Foundation to engage the next generation of electronic systems integrators and assist in launching and advancing their career.
As part of the foundation, CEDIA has established the Randy Vaughan Memorial Scholarship in honor of CEDIA 2010 board of director chairman Randy Vaughan.
As part of the foundation, CEDIA has established the Randy Vaughan Memorial Scholarship in honor of CEDIA 2010 board of director chairman Randy Vaughan.
The scholarship was created to provide high school seniors and college undergraduates with an opportunity to receive financial aid to begin or continue their post-secondary education in technology, electronic systems, or engineering.
“CEDIA is committed to building a skilled workforce and filling the industry pipeline with qualified individuals,” said Federico Bausone, CEDIA’s current chairman. “The education foundation and scholarship will provide assistance for students to pursue the fundamental education they need to be successful in this industry.”
The two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to qualified graduating high school seniors and to qualified undergraduate or technical students.
