Clare Controls to Co-Host Vancouver Integrator’s Builder, Architect Event

Home automation systems provider, Clare Controls, is planning to co-host a residential technology summit with Connected Spaces of Vancouver, Canada.

Home automation systems provider, Clare Controls, is planning to co-host a residential technology summit with Connected Spaces of Vancouver, Canada. The summit, to be held on April 30 in North Vancouver, will show a select group of builders, developers, and architects how they can capitalize on the rising demand for automation in new homes.

Clare founder and CEO Brett Price will introduce the ClareHome Builder’s Program to the invitation-only group. Those who elect to participate in the Program will team with Connected Spaces, Clare’s local partner, to deliver luxury automation system performance to mainstream homeowners in affordable packages. Builders place a ClareHome core system (including controller) in each of their new homes. Customers configure their own solutions in the design center, picking from among pre-engineered packages and upgrades. These are complete home automation solutions, running popular applications like multi-zone audio, lighting/shades, security/access control/video surveillance, energy, water/freeze detection and more.

“In the past,” stated Price, “so-called ‘deals’ on managed home control services offered builders plenty of risk but little opportunity. We provide a well-developed, end-to-end program complete with sales, marketing, and ongoing technical support, based on first-hand knowledge of a builder’s business requirements and preferences. Participating builders get a great answer to their customer’s requests for technology, and they earn reputations as their areas’ leading providers of the ‘tech-smart’ homes. And last but certainly not least, they earn a profit on every sale.”

The Vancouver summit is the latest in Clare’s ongoing initiative to help pair its regional partners with forward-thinking builders throughout North America. Connected Spaces is a sister company of La Scala, known throughout the industry for its award-winning custom-designed home cinemas and integrated home systems.

“Over the past few years we have been increasingly approached by builders and developers who are looking to offer home automation for their new home buyers,” noted Marilyn Sanford, CEO of both Connected Spaces and La Scala. “People see home automation as a natural next step in their homes. However price and complexity have long been an inhibitor. Clare uses familiar iDevices, a very intuitive user interface and scalability so it fits many budgets. Everyone wins.”
