Crestron has appointed Craig Childs as its new residential regional sales manager.
Childs joins Crestron from Dana Innovations where he held management roles in sales and customer support during his tenure. Based in the Cypress, CA office, he will cover the residential market in southern California and Hawaii. In this position, Childs will utilize his sales experience to drive growth and brand awareness of Crestron integrated home technology solutions within his territory.
Childs has more than 23 years experience in the consumer electronics industry, working with custom installation companies, CEDIA channel members, distributors and AV dealers. He began his career in management for The Good Guys, a chain of consumer electronics retail stores based in Brisbane, CA. There he developed his sales and management skills, increasing sales consistently, while also developing the first manager training manual for the company. Childs joined Polk Audio in 1995 as Western regional sales manager and team leader, where he was responsible for overall territory management and training initiatives.
