Crestron announced the appointment of Mike Charbit as its new commercial regional sales manager.

Charbit joins Crestron from Extron where he was regional accounts manager for the Southeast. Based in the Maitland, FL office, he will cover the commercial market in Florida and the Caribbean. With more than 17 years experience in the electronics industry, Charbit will utilize his sales experience to increase sales and brand awareness of Crestron Integrated by Design technology solutions within his territory.
“I am excited to have a seasoned professional like Mike join our growing sales team,” said John Gutekunst, Crestron regional director. “He brings many years of sales and management experience, which will help grow Crestron’s market share in his territories.”
As regional accounts manager at Extron, Charbit was responsible for growing accounts, helping with designs, and managing field and office teams of customer and technical support. He began his career in sales for Good Guys, a chain of consumer electronics retail stores. At Good Guys, he handled in-store sales of consumer electronic gadgets. He worked his way up to assistant store manager and managed day-to-day operations, store departments, and new store openings. Prior to joining Extron, Charbit worked at Pioneer Electronics. As assistant store manager, he drove sales and awareness of car audio and home theater entertainment products, utilizing the retail showroom environment.
