ProSource has announced the addition of DJ Singleton as the new regional business manager for the Western territory. With more than two decades of industry experience—primarily on the manufacturing and automation side— Singleton brings deep expertise, national relationships, and a solutions-first mindset to his new role supporting members and vendors.

Having spent significant time with manufacturers actively involved in ProSource, Singleton developed a strong appreciation for the group’s mission and commitment to its members. “I had the opportunity to intimately understand what ProSource is about and how much the group cares for its members,” says Singleton. “That’s what attracted me to this opportunity.”

Over his career, Singleton has managed territories across the country, from both coasts to the TOLA region, building long-standing relationships along the way. “The only area I haven’t managed is the MINK states,” he notes. “Having worked across the majority of the U.S. has shown me that, while every market is different, the drive for success is universal. Being able to pivot and adapt is the real key.”

“DJ brings a wealth of experience to the ProSource team,” says Frank Marengo, ProSource director of sales. “His military background instills a strong commitment to detail and follow-through, which translates well into his professional approach. In addition, his background with both independent rep firms and manufacturers in the custom integration industry provides him with a well-rounded and strategic understanding of key product categories such as automation, wiring, speakers, and more. DJ is approachable and generous in sharing his insights, making him a valuable resource to both colleagues and members. Given his depth of knowledge and hands-on experience, I am confident he will quickly become an asset in supporting ProSource members and driving profitability.”

In his role at ProSource, Singleton will focus on problem-solving, accountability, and fostering meaningful relationships with dealer members. “My goal is to be a valuable resource and an extension of their business,” he explains. “I may not always have the answer immediately, but I’ll always find it.”

Singleton’s priorities include helping members maximize group programs, drive profitability, and adapt to emerging opportunities. He sees significant potential in lighting fixtures and shades as high-growth categories and points to national power infrastructure challenges as another critical area for member focus. “Helping our members and vendor partners navigate these challenges together is where we can make the biggest difference,” he says.

When asked how he defines success, Singleton points to member engagement: “Success is driven by active participation — whether that’s through vendor programs or group initiatives. The more our members engage, the more value we can provide.”

Based in Flower Mound, Texas, Singleton shares his home with his wife Drew, stepdaughter Zoey, and two cats, Soot and Misu. Outside of work, he’s an avid Las Vegas Raiders fan, gym enthusiast, Harley rider, and budding Jeep builder. And, as a fun fact, Singleton once kissed the ring of Pope John Paul II during a childhood trip to Vatican City in the 1980s.
