Daisy has announced the acquisition of Electronic Environments (EENY), a premier smart home automation firm based in New York City, serving Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Hamptons, Westchester County, Fairfield County, and the broader tri-state area.

Since its founding in 1988, EENY has designed and installed highly customized and technically sophisticated systems in some of the world’s most luxurious homes. Known for its work in Manhattan and the Hamptons, with projects as far-reaching as Martha’s Vineyard and Beverly Hills, EENY brings expertise across high-end home theaters, enterprise-grade communication systems, smart lighting, motorized shades, and more. EENY’s founder and president, Kim Michels, is a founding member of The Guild, the preeminent coalition of thought leaders in the custom integration industry.
“I am incredibly proud of the wonderful business we have built at EENY and so happy to have found a partner that can leverage our experience and also help take us to the next level. Daisy’s national brand and service offering is a turning point in our industry and is destined to succeed,” says Michels. “Daisy is also aligned with our thinking and philosophy. Daisy values people, Daisy values knowledge, and Daisy is smart enough to leave what works alone. Daisy looks to its partners to help them grow and improve and vice versa. We are hitching our wagons to a great initiative with the resources, culture, intelligence, and drive to help make EENY better while at the same time allowing EENY to make Daisy better. I’m extremely excited about joining the team and I know the collaboration will be strong, exciting, and fun for all of us.”
“We are so excited to welcome EENY to the Daisy team,” says Hagan Kappler, co-founder and CEO of Daisy. “Our vision has always included having a foothold in New York City, and we could not have dreamed of finding as strong a partner as EENY with their commitment to excellence and innovation.”
The EENY acquisition further strengthens Daisy’s Northeast footprint, joining existing locations in Fairfield County, New Hampshire, Boston, and New Jersey. In the 18 months since its founding, Daisy has made headlines not only for its rapid growth, but also for its industry-leading technician experience, known internally as “Technician Nirvana,” and its innovative approach to recurring revenue services for clients, which has achieved double the industry average in customer satisfaction scores. Daisy has made multi-million-dollar investments in support and services, including an end-to-end tech solution for dealers.
