Datasat Expands Sales, Marketing, and PR Teams Datasat Digital Entertainment has announced two new appointments to help drive growth in 2016: Richard Fairbrother as director of sales for North America and KMB Communications for PR.By RS Staff Published: April 20, 2016 ⋅ Updated: April 15, 2019 Richard Fairbrother, director of sales for Datasat in North America Datasat Digital Entertainment has announced two new appointments to help drive growth in 2016. Effective immediately, Richard Fairbrother will be the new director of sales for the North American market, and KMB Communications of Red Lodge, Montana, will serve as the independent PR and communications strategy firm for Datasat Digital Entertainment. In his new role as director of sales, Fairbrother will work closely with Steve Evanitsky, vice president of sales for the Americas and the Pacific Rim to oversee North American sales and support for dealers. Fairbrother has more than 15 years of experience in system design and product sales. Fairbrother will oversee North American sales for Datasat. In collaboration with Evanitsky and the rest of the Datasat team, he will develop internal and field training, while improving communications between Datasat, its representatives, channel partners, and dealers. “As Datasat Digital Entertainment grows, we understand the need for open communications, improved operational efficiency, and increased training initiatives,” says Evanitsky. “With Richard’s experience, he understands what great support from a manufacturer means to both reps and techs in the field. We’re excited he is here to help take Datasat through our next stage of growth.” Fairbrother will hold dual roles in the industry, remaining an active principle of Bitstream Media (formerly Taylor Sales), of Rochester, NY, a firm that reps such brands as Cinema Design Group International, MSE Audio, Seymour Screen Excellence, Wisdom Audio, and, most notably, Datasat. “Since my immersion into our industry in 2000, my true passion has always been home cinema,” said Fairbrother. “The opportunity to help grow Datasat , and grow with them, will allow us to provide the best emotional experience for all enthusiasts of home cinema. Movies provide an emotional outlet and the product suite from Datasat is the best way to do that.” As Datasat emphasizes R&D and new product development in the luxury consumer realm, the company brings KMB Communications onboard to amplify and elevate their message to the custom electronics market. KMB Communications, veterans in AV industry PR and communications strategy, will build upon the progress made by Datasat with clear, consistent messaging to articulate and amplify the digital dialogue around the brand to increase recognition in the custom electronics market.
