DSI Systems, the CE distributor for the independent retail channel, has unveiled plans to grow its burgeoning furniture, appliance, and bedding business. DSI now stocks additional product lines in all five of their large distribution centers across the country. Dealers can now order this product from their nearest warehouse location.
DSI also has rolled out a new LTL freight program for all products now in stock. The distributor also has unveiled a new method of boxing and shipping furniture LTL that has proven to reduce freight damage during shipping.
“We have secured some additional warehouse space for our expansion into these categories,” Doug Robison, president and CEO of DSI Systems, said. “We have moved all categories into our five DCs, and have launched an innovative new freight program for these products. A dealer can now order TVs, appliances, bedding, and furniture, easily meet freight requirements, and all goods will be delivered on one truck. Reorganization of staff and resources has already begun to take place that will allow DSI continued growth in consumer electronics, while at the same time, investing in top talent to manage the anticipated growth in these exciting new product categories.”
Appliance lines include Electrolux and GE for parts of Texas and all of Louisiana, and GE for eastern Oklahoma. DSI stocks Haier appliances nationally.
Furniture lines include Ashley, Jackson Catnapper, Klaussner, Jofran, and Vintage, as well as multiple TV stands and mount lines.
Bedding lines consists of Simmons, Enso, Corsicana, Symbol, and Glideaway.
