Firefly Design Group, the consulting and engineering firm in the technology integration industry, is launching their “Pre-engineering” department, as well as the addition of a senior systems engineer to their team of custom electronics industry specialists.
Firefly Design Group (FDG), one of three divisions of One Firefly LLC (which also includes Firefly Programming and Firefly Creative), provides services to two market segments: business-to-business services to Home Technology Professionals, and directly with homeowners in partnership with their architect and interior designers.
The responsibilities of pre-engineering will include the review of intake documentation, the corroboration of the intake against a proposed scope of work, and then the immediate communication with the client, lead engineer and project manager. The new department was developed specifically to improve the customer experience with even more accurate engineering and markedly upgraded timeliness.
In addition to the expanded services, FDG also announced the appointment of John Hamilton as senior systems engineer. Hamilton has more than 30 years’ experience in professional and consumer audio industry, providing sales and technical training to a diverse domestic and international audience. Most notably, he was a technical support manager and platform product manager for Niles Audio Corporation for more than a dozen years.

This new process cuts that client research time down at least 75%, while adding more quality control and more client touch.”
