DPL Laboratories Inc., a lab specializing in performance testing of HDMI cables, has awarded its Seal of Approval to select HDMI cable models from Ethereal Home Theater, Binary Cables by SnapAV, NextGen, and Perfect Path by PPC.
DPL Labs Seal of Approval Program was created to assist cable buyers, both consumer and industry, in selecting the best performing and most reliable HDMI cables. Earlier this year, DPL updated the Seal of Approval Program’s testing process to take into account the latest revisions in the HDMI specification. Participating cable brands submit their cables to be put through multi-stage testing by specially trained DPL engineers in an independent testing laboratory.
Those cables that meet or exceed DPL Labs standard of excellence are cables that offer far better performance and longer term reliability than “typical” HDMI cables.
