Petaluma, CA — Furman has signed on with a new distribution center in Moerdijk, The Netherlands, to better serve its European customers. The new distribution hub is located approximately 60 kilometers southwest of Amsterdam and is within close proximity to the port of Rotterdam.
Through a third-party logistics (3PL) partnership with D.S.V. Solutions B.V. (DSV), Furman gains access to a state-of-the-art, ISO9001-certified warehouse facility and leverages DSV’s logistics expertise to deliver faster turn-around time for fulfillment of customer orders coupled with reduced transportation costs to Europe. Furman will begin operations at the distribution center in February 2009.
“We are continuing to strengthen our European network and this new hub will enable us to provide a higher level of service to our customers,” said Chris Swan, vice president of operations for Panamax and Furman. “As we continue to grow, we are poised to meet our customers’ needs, providing the best service and the most efficient turn-around time. The new distribution center is indicative of our dedication to providing exceptional customer support, meeting client demand more quickly and with lower delivery costs.”
