Coherent Source Service (CSS) has been acquired from founder Rob Gillum by former Thiel service manager Gary Dayton, who was originally trained for his position at Thiel by Gillum. Dayton worked for THIEL from 2005-2013, where his role evolved to include service, sales, training initiatives, and new product development, having worked directly with Jim Thiel. Ensuring no interruption to current operations, Dayton will be carrying on the quality repair and maintenance services of Thiel speakers established by Gillum since 2018. Remaining in its current location, Coherent Source Service has been stocked with nearly all relevant parts for proper repairs of most Thiel models. CSS also buys, restores, and sells legacy Thiel speakers.

“Coherent Source Service can provide expert repair of nearly every speaker Thiel produced, and in most cases, using original parts,” says Dayton. “CSS maintains new-old-stock of many original parts and has ongoing relationships with original suppliers that can still produce critical parts. In addition to an impressive parts inventory and active supply chain, CSS has critical assembly fixtures, testing facilities, and documentation that make it possible to restore Thiel speakers to their original operating parameters. I am looking forward to working with enthusiastic clients from around the world. Our goal is to ensure that Thiel owners can happily enjoy their wonderful loudspeakers well into the foreseeable future.”

Coherent Source Service is located at 763 Newtown Pike, Suite 130, Lexington, Kentucky, USA 40511.
