GP Acoustics Watches One Depart, One Return

Marlboro, NJ — GP Acoustics North America, the parent company of the KEF, Celestion, and Musical Fidelity brands, has rehired one staff member and is saying goodbye to another.

GP Acoustics (US) president Alec Chanin, noted “with deep regret” marketing VP Paul Egan’s decision to leave GP Acoustics. According to Chanin, Egan plans to take the summer off to spend time with his wife and daughters, and then “begin pursuit of his own business interests.”

“Paul and I have worked closely together for almost 12 years, and during that tenure he has been an important part of KEF’s growth in North America, and helped KEF become one of the world’s premier loudspeaker brands. His contributions will be missed,” Chanin said.

Egan still can be reached through the end of June at KEF’s office as he transfers his responsibilities to other members of the KEF team.

KEF also is welcoming Richard Colburn back to its GP Acoustics North American family as North American sales manager for Musical Fidelity and KEF Reference. Richard Colburn
Colburn had joined the company several years ago in similar position, but then left last summer to move to the Oregon and Washington State border, where he got married.

“Richard will be our go-to high end audio guru here at GP Acoustics; his passion and technical acumen for the wonderful products offered from Musical Fidelity and KEF Reference is rivaled only by his market knowledge and stellar industry reputation,” Chanin said. ” Richard is mandated to drive this important segment of our business, and continue to develop and deepen the channels and relationships.
