HES Creates New Partnerships, Elects Board

Anthem and Panamax/Furman are named as factory direct programs while DVDO and Leviton will be part of the groups highly Custom Warehouse program.

Anaheim, CA–Home Entertainment Source (HES), the A/V specialty division of Brand Source, has entered into agreements with several new suppliers. Both Anthem and Panamax/Furman have been announced as factory direct programs while DVDO and Leviton will be part of the groups Custom Warehouse program which launched in March, 2006.

As we approach our Spring Summit and Buy Fair we are all very excited to announce our partnership with so many great organizations,” stated Jim Ristow, executive vice president of HES. “The initial response from our members has been outstanding and I feel that this opens the doors to many new business opportunities for all parties involved. We anticipate record attendance at our Summit and look forward to helping build many new relationships.

The 2008 Home Entertainment Source Summit will take place March 16 19 in Dallas, Texas.

In other news, HES also revealed the results of its board elections, with Marvin Electronics Stuart Schuster as the new president. Schuster has served Marvin Electronics in various capacities since 1970 and succeeded his father as owner of the company in 1996.

“Throughout my service to the board I have witnessed tremendous growth in HES,” Schuster stated. “I am honored to be elected president and look forward to serving my fellow group members, staff and suppliers. I believe that by working together we can make 2008 an interesting and profitable year”

David Pidgeon of Starpower Home Entertainment Systems also won a board seat. Pidgeon has served as president of Starpower since the companys inception in 1995. He has helped Starpower grow into one of the largest custom home electronic companies in America and winner of multiple industry awards.

Our organizations strength is people. With a board this strong and focused on HES future I am confident in our ability to maintain momentum going forward stated Jim Ristow, executive vice president of HES.

Former group president Bob Cole of World Wide Stereo, Vance Pflanz of Pflanz Electronics, Bill Janka of Mission Audio Video, Marty Hayse of Dennis Sage Home Entertainment, and Andy Kersey of Hamlin & Kersey will continue their service to the board.

HES is a not-for-profit organization with approximately 500 members. With annual sales exceeding $1.4 billion, HES ranks as one of the largest buying groups in the CE industry.
