Legrand | AV has announced that its Luxul professional AV networking switches are now supported within the Utelogy cloud-based AV management platform. The integration, developed through the Utelligence Alliance Partner Program, extends Legrand | AV’s commitment to open AV infrastructure.
Networking has always been foundational to professional AV, but commercial-grade networking, purpose-built for the performance, reliability, and manageability demands of AV environments, is increasingly central to how they are designed, operated, and serviced. Legrand | AV’s Luxul line is engineered specifically for that role, delivering the switching infrastructure that AV systems depend on. Connecting Luxul to the platforms where AV management happens is a natural extension of that mission.
Not all network switches are created equal in a professional AV environment. Commercial AV deployments demand reliable PoE delivery for cameras, displays, and collaboration devices; deterministic performance for latency-sensitive AV-over-IP signals; and the manageability that allows operations teams to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain network infrastructure without leaving their AV management workflow.
Luxul managed switches are designed to meet those requirements, built for professional AV installations across corporate, education, government, and commercial environments. With this Utelogy integration, that infrastructure is no longer a blind spot in cloud-managed deployments.
What the Integration Delivers
Through the Luxul driver in Utelogy, integrators and operators can now monitor and manage Luxul AV networking switches directly within the platform, alongside the AV devices they already oversee. Capabilities include:
- Real-time port monitoring with per-port link state, transmit and receive rates, and PoE status, updated every 15 to 30 seconds.
- Live PoE power tracking for every active port, giving operators immediate visibility into powered device status across the network.
- Firmware management triggered and monitored directly from the platform, via HTTP, HTTPS, or TFTP.
- Health and diagnostic data, including temperature, fan speeds, CPU load, and uptime, surfaced as actionable state information within the Utelogy environment.
- Support for Utelogy’s Active, Standby, and Maintenance operational modes, enabling teams to manage monitoring behavior across the full deployment lifecycle, including suppressing false alerts during planned maintenance while preserving accurate status reporting.
Open Architecture
Legrand | AV also offers its own Unified Cloud Platform for integrators and operators seeking a native solution for remote monitoring, management, and diagnostics across their Legrand | AV product ecosystem. The company’s position is that customers should be able to choose. Whether they operate through the Legrand | AV Unified Cloud Platform, Utelogy, or another preferred solution, Legrand | AV is committed to ensuring its products, including its Luxul AV networking portfolio, are accessible within the tools where teams already work.
That open architecture approach extends across the Legrand | AV portfolio and is a principle the company continues to build on through technology partnerships like the Utelligence Alliance Partner Program.
The Luxul Series driver (v1.0) is available now in the Utelogy driver library and is compatible with Luxul firmware v1.00.281 and later.
