Liberty AV Releases Intelix HDMI over IP Extenders

Liberty AV Solutions released the first Intelix HDMI over IP extender series, INT-IPEX1000.

Liberty AV Solutions released the first Intelix HDMI over IP extender series, INT-IPEX1000. These products are designed to distribute an HDMI-formatted video signal from a single source to multiple displays, such as a digital signage environment.

 Intelix HDMI over IP

The INT-IPEX1001 is an HDMI video to M-JPEG encoder that transmits the video via UDP through the LAN output. The INT-IPEX1002 receives the UDP stream on the LAN input and decodes the M-JPEG video back to an HDMI formatted video stream. Since UDP is a unidirectional protocol, the INT-IPEX1001 has a built-in EDID of 1080p/30 with two-channel audio.

These products are preconfigured to work out of the box: connect the INT-IPEX1001 to the source device, connect the INT-IPEX1002 to the display, connect the extenders to up to 100 meters of Cat 5e or greater cable, and then apply power to all devices. When connecting multiple displays, a dedicated gigabit switch, such as the Intelix INT-IPSW1100 series, is necessary.

If the switch supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), the included power supplies are not necessary. Up to three switches may be in line, which can extend the source signal up to 400 meters (1312 feet), with a maximum resolution of 1080p/60.

The INT-IPEX1000 series extenders are expected to be available Q2 2015 from authorized Liberty AV Solutions/Intelix dealers across North America.
