McIntosh Laboratory has announced a realignment of its sales team.

Key to the reorganization is the appointment of Chris Smith to the position of east coast director of sales, as well as the promotion of former east coast regional sales manager Marc Lamb to west coast director of sales.

Additionally, Steve Mulnick will continue to serve in the newly created position of director of sales planning. Heading up the company’s new sales team is Linda Passaro, global VP of sales and marketing. The company’s goal with this realignment is to create a fast and responsive sales organization capable of interfacing more directly with dealers and consumers.

Chris Smith comes to McIntosh from the B&W Group USA, where he most recently served as regional sales manager, responsible for account management of over 50 accounts, as well as business development and sales training. Notably, while at B&W, Chris oversaw implementation of an advanced CRM tool, Salesforce.com, for his sales team of 10 regional sales managers and 20 additional salespeople.

“McIntosh is in the midst of a major new marketing and sales initiative, one that will help us reach new customers,” Passaro said. “With these changes we are poised to bring a fresh attitude and energy to our mission. McIntosh is all about connecting people in a more powerful and emotional way with their music, and with our new sales structure, we will be able to partner even more closely with our retailer base to ensure more people will value the McIntosh experience.”
