Oasys Summit 2025 Delivers Practical Tools for Custom Integrators

Three-day summit brought together residential integration leaders to explore smart home innovation, operational efficiency, and scalable growth strategies.

The 2025 Oasys Summit was held May 7-9 in Indianapolis, Indiana, bringing together residential custom integration professionals and vendor partners for three days of high-impact sessions, strategic collaboration, and fresh insights. Designed with member growth in mind, the event focused on delivering real value through candid conversations, business frameworks, and peer-to-peer connections.

The Summit began with a welcome address and a member-only session led by Hank Alexander, director of Oasys. Next, Matt Bernath of VITAL and Jasen Sayen of I Am Sayen invited attendees to identify and prioritize the challenges holding their businesses back through an interactive workshop. These early conversations created space for open dialogue and problem-solving, laying a foundation for the rest of the event.

From there, attendees launched into the first of several rounds of 1:1 member-vendor meetings, prompting valuable conversations and uncovering opportunities for mutual success. An Oasys Summit hallmark, the Vendor Experience Rooms were back in full force this year, with Samsung, Nice, Sonance, JVC, and LG showcasing their latest innovations. New to Summit this year, attendees were introduced to OneShop , a comprehensive digital marketing platform built to help integrators attract and engage with clients, builders, architects, and designers.

Day two featured a powerful keynote from Ryan McCarty, author of Build a Culture of Good, who encouraged members to reflect on how they lead themselves and their teams — emphasizing the importance of purpose, self-awareness, and personal accountability in effective leadership. His message set the tone for the afternoon workshop, where attendees had the chance to engage in hands-on collaboration and put those insights into practice. Later that evening, the Oasys group visited Premium Audio Company for an exclusive tour.

The final day brought everything full circle with part two of the interactive workshop led by Bernath and Sayen. This session helped attendees apply structure to the challenges they had identified earlier in the week — reinforcing a practical, problem-solving mindset designed to drive lasting impact long after the Summit ends.

Recognizing that tariffs and the uncertainty surrounding them represent one of the most pressing issues facing custom integrators today, the Summit featured a dedicated panel discussion to address the topic head-on. The panel included voices from across the industry, moderated by Greg Simmons of ADI | Snap One. The panel included Mitch Klein of CEDIA, Jeff Costello of Nice North America, and Dennis Holzer with PowerHouse Alliance, offering a mix of vendor and association perspectives.

Framing the situation as fluid and rapidly evolving, panelists explored key subtopics such as product availability, development timelines, and resource planning — arming attendees with the context and considerations they need to navigate the road ahead.

That conversation flowed naturally into an introduction to PriMetrix, Nationwide Marketing Group’s data and analytics platform. As the group discussed the unpredictable impact of tariffs, PriMetrix offered a clear path forward — equipping integrators with benchmarking tools and performance insights to navigate market shifts with greater clarity and confidence.

The Summit wrapped on an empowering note. Attendees were challenged to craft a personal leadership statement and identify one intentional action — whether for the week ahead or the year to come. It was a fitting close to a week filled with connection, clarity, and momentum, leaving each participant with a tangible, personal takeaway to carry forward.
