On Controls has appointed Jeffrey Skalny to the newly created role of director of control. Reporting directly to the CEO, Skalny will be based at the company’s headquarters in Detroit and in charge of establishing and maintaining relationships with third-party manufacturers in the Internet of Things (IoT) community as well as communicating with integrators, ensuring that the features and functionality of the On Controls platform matches the needs of an evolving marketplace.

Skalny helped grow a prominent integration firm for more than 15 years in Troy, Michigan, leading its ascension in the upscale residential segment before serving as VP of commercial solutions. Skalny also has a background in computer and networking.
“The most exciting part of my new role with On Controls is an opportunity to help shape a control brand into the ultimate supplier based on my perspective as an integrator,” Skalny explained. “A cloud-based solution is such an asset to the integrator—enabling them to create, manage and maintain new projects in a secure and efficient manner. On Controls CEO Itai Ben-Gal noted that during On Controls’ sustained rapid growth in both residential and commercial market segments, it identified an opportunity to “leverage the expert-level technical experience and market awareness” that Skalny brings to the organization. “We anticipate that Jeffrey’s presence will positively impact new product development and help to grow our vital partners programs so we can best serve the entire IoT community,” Ben-Gal said.
