Fairfax, CA–Performance Media Industries and Electronic Stock Room / Novidor & Firestone are to host a bike ride Friday, August 17th. The ride, which is part of the CEDIA CE Express, is one of many regional rides benefiting cancer. The donations will go to the Lance Armstrong Foundation. The event is limited to the first 30 participants to register.
The ride will start at the ESR/N&F offices in San Rafael at 8:30 a.m., traveling approximately 50 miles to Point Reyes Station and then back to San Rafael. Riders will return to ESR/N&F by about 4 or 5 p.m. This is a pastoral ride with a few challenges and is for reasonably fit riders. Stops have been planned at Skywalker Ranch, Point Reyes Station, Samuel P. Taylor Park, and the PMI offices in Fairfax.
Each rider will pay a registration fee of $50. In addition, the goal is for each rider to raise $500 in donations to benefit cancer survivors, their families and research. For a 50-mile ride, that’s a donation of $10 per mile. The overall goal for the Nor Cal regional ride is total donations of over $10,000. There is no minimum fundraising requirement.
