PowerHouse Sets November Trainings

PowerHouse Alliance members will focus on home control and networking during November trainings and events.

October was a productive and eventful month for the PowerHouse Alliance, and all of the various dealer expos and trainings that helped successfully push members into Q4. This month, the expos have quieted down and PowerHouse members are focusing their efforts on holding a variety of trainings and building up the dealer and manufacturer connections they made over the past few months.

Electronic Custom Distributors (ECD), who represents the Alliance in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana, will have a full schedule this month with their URC ccGEN2 training series happening in several major cities in Texas. They’ll start up the series on November 11th with a Level 2 training near their headquarters in Houston, TX, move onto Austin for a Level 1 training on the 12th, and trek up to Dallas for a Level 2 training on the 13th. That Friday, ECD will head back to Houston for a Lutron Caseta and Verbatim LED Lighting Vendor Day.

“We are always looking to keep our local dealers current and informed on the latest products that our customers are demanding, and right now, URC’s ccGEN2 is what our customers want in terms of home automation,” said CJ Provenzano, CEO of ECD. “Our November training calendar reflects ECD’s dedication to do our part in pushing the Alliance to a strong finish in Q4 in addition to serving our local community with the highest quality service.”

Ultimate Integration has hosted numerous trainings in New Jersey and at their new location in Hauppauge, NY, following their successful open house event back in August. They, like other fellow members of the PowerHouse Alliance, have centered their upcoming fall trainings on home control due to the increase in demand and interest within the industry.

“As members of the Alliance, we wanted to fully support the increased emphasis on home control and networking because it is becoming much more important to both existing and target consumers,” said Alan Malowitz, sales manager for Ultimate Integration. “That is why many of us have updated our training sessions to reflect the demand and to keep our dealers informed.”

Electrical Distributing, Inc. (EDI) is also hosting networking-focused trainings this month. On November 11 and 12, they will hold Vanco training sessions in Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR, respectively.

Volutone kicked off their two week, dual-manufacturer session, featuring a Yamaha and Luxul training tour on November 4th. The training serves two purposes, providing dealers across California with the opportunity to learn how incorporating DOLBY ATMOS into their business can increase margins, while also educating attendees on basic networking skills via Luxul solutions. CTD Marketing, who covers Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio for the Alliance, is also hosting Luxul training sessions this month. The first will be in Fort Wayne, IN on November 17 and on November 20 in Columbus, OH, and will cover IP networking and Wi-Fi.

Those interested in attending or locating a member training or event in your area are invited to review the full PowerHouse Member Events Schedule, listing all activities from now through December.
