ReQuest Ships Multiroom iQ System

The new system debuts with a media server, a 16-channel amplifier, a tabletop or wall-mountable touchscreen, and an in-wall touchscreen.

Ballston Spa, New York–ReQuest has shipped its new multiroom audio solution, the iQ System.

According to the company, the iQ System is the first mulitroom solution to be based on music-server technology that promises true plugnplay installation, superb audio playback to as many as eight different rooms, and seamless integration with iTunes utilizing ReQuests software, NetSync for iTunes.

The iQ System debuts with four key elements: The hard disk-based iQ Intelligent Media Server, the 16-channel iQ Intelligent Multiroom Amplifier, a 15-inch tabletop or wall-mountable touchscreen, and 3.5-inch in-wall touchscreen. Using patented ReQuest technology, iQ syncs music from one house to another across the Internet. iQ is also the only system that allows multiple iTunes users to share music seamlessly within a house.
