Indianapolis, IN–BES Manufacturing and Training Reels will host the 2007 “Real Men Retrofit” Installer Olympics at CEDIA EXPO at the BES Manufacturing booth 494. The contest is a great opportunity to see if you’re as good as you think you are at retrofit.
Contestants are challenged to fish a single cable between two randomly picked locations in a 4-feet X 6-feet section of house framing built in the booth. All the necessary holes are predrilled so all the would-be retrofit ace needs to do is fish the cable using any of a wide selection of BES retrofit tools. However, all fishing must take place on the inside of the house with closed, real life walls.
The audience on the outside of the house can see what’s going on through the exterior Plexiglas wall covering. Looks easy at first glance, but each location has it’s difficulty. The contestant with the best time of the day (each day) wins a BES Manufacturing contractor retrofit tool set valued at over $500.00.
Everyone that enters gets a “Real Men Retrofit” t-shirt. The contest will be held throughout each day during regular show hours on a first come basis. Both BES Manufacturing and Training Reels will also demonstrate the latest in retrofit tools and video training courses throughout the show.
