RTI Expands Online IR Database

RTI has added 500 new IR files to its online code database.

Chanhassen, MN–Remote Technologies Inc. (RTI) has added 500 new IR files to its online code database.

This enhancement came at the heel of the companys move last summer to effectively triple the size of RTIs previous code library, assembling one of the industrys most comprehensive collections of control protocol. The latest file additions contain codes for new popular products such as the Apple iPod and Windows Media Center–products that are appearing in increased numbers in homes all across America.

An important corporate mission at RTI is finding control solutions for the custom installation industry and providing dealers with intuitive user interfaces, thus adding value on every job, said Pete Baker, director of sales at RTI. Given the rapidly expanding universe of the home automation industry, it is absolutely imperative for our system controllers to keep current with all the new codes.

Installers who wish to obtain the IR codes for their remotes should visit www.rticorp.com/downloads, by clicking Infrared Code Database and following the instructions, the entire library can be easily downloaded to a PC.
