Savant Systems LLC has added Imerge to its Partners in Excellence cooperative program.
Based in Cambridge, England, Imerge is a manufacturer of audio and media servers. In 2011, the company was acquired by the Prism Sound Group, which manufactures a range of professional equipment for audio applications. Since its acquisition by Prism Sound, Imerge has launched a 4th generation server that offers users the ability to store and play 3D DVD and Blu-ray movies in full 1080p High Definition quality without the need for a mechanical disc auto-changer.
“The Partners in Excellence program is important because it will enable Imerge products to integrate seamlessly with the Savant’s control environment, increasing the appeal of Imerge products in the residential and custom install markets,” said Graham Boswell, sales director of Prism Sound. “With new Imerge products scheduled for release later in 2012, we see this collaboration as mutually beneficial for both companies as well as installers in the field.”
Participation in Savant’s Partners in Excellence cooperative program will facilitate the integration of Imerge devices within the Savant system environment. “Savant is pleased to add a respected brand such as Imerge to our Partners in Excellence program,” said Savant’s director of business development, Bob Ross. “Media access is so important to many of our customers and the interoperability between the brands is an important resource for our dealer base.”
The core of Savant’s technology is an open programmable platform built upon the Mac OS X operating system supporting various communication protocols and offering high speed AV switching, scaling and processing.
