Severtson to Show Proteus Series Masking System Projection Screens at CEDIA Expo 2025

Built-in masking system allows the screen’s aspect ratio to be changed at the push of a button.

Severtson Screens will promote its recently launched Proteus Series projection screens with built-in masking system during CEDIA Expo 2025, held in Denver from Sept. 4-6 at the Colorado Convention Center, booth #4140. Proteus Series screens allow users to quickly switch between 16:9 and 2.39:1 aspect ratios.

Severtson Screens Proteus Masking Screen

Severtson Proteus Series screens are the product of several years of research and development. The Proteus Series screens allow users to quickly, quietly, and easily transform the screen to accommodate the industry’s most common aspect ratios (16:9 and 2.39:1) without the visible gray bars that can distract from the viewing experience. With Proteus, you can watch TV programming and sports in 16:9 format without any projection bleed-over or visible gray bars, then switch to 2.39:1 for movies at the push of a button.

The Proteus Series features a choice of one of Severtson’s signature USA-made projection surfaces or optical coatings. All optical coatings are also available in micro-perf.

Choices include Cinema White (1.3 gain); Cinema Grey (1.0 gain); Stellar White (1.3 – 2.6 gain); High Contrast Grey [HCNC] (0.7 gain); Grey Vision (1.3 – 2.2 gain); SAT-4K (1.18 gain); TAT-4K (0.93 gain); Bright White Acoustically-Transparent [BWAT] (1.0 – 1.1 gain); SēVision 3D GX (1.4 – 3.0 gain; Severtson’s advanced, water-based optical coating recommended for passive 3D projection).
