Sharp Delivers 6-Series LED LCD TV SKUs

Sharp announced Friday the availability of a number of 2012 Aquos 6-Series LED LCD TVs. Sharp announced Friday the availability of a number of 2012 Aquos 6-Series LED LCD TVs.

The 6-Series includes models in the 52-, 60- and 70-inch screen sizes — LC-52LE640U ($1,500 suggested retail, LC-60LE640U ($2,000) and LC-70LE640U ($3,000) — all of which include high-performance Aquos LCD panels, edge-lit LED backlighting, 120Hz Fine Motion Enhanced refresh rates, and a new narrow bezel design.

The 6-Series models also offer built-in Wi-Fi and access to Sharp’s newly designed SmartCentral user interface (docking layout), featuring access to the a variety of apps and Aquos Advantage Live, remote service capability.

Among the most popular apps available through the SmartCentral UI are: Netflix, Facebook, CinemaNow and YouTube, among others.

Aquos Advantage Live, meanwhile, is Sharp’s customer support program that allows trained advisors to remotely connect via the Internet to an Aquos TV to assist with setup, troubleshooting and picture optimization.
