Cambridge, MA–Sonos, Inc., developer of wireless multi-room music systems, has appointed Carl Calabria as the new vice president of product development. Calabria will oversee product development from Sonos Cambridge, MA, headquarters and will report to Sonos CEO John MacFarlane.
Calabria brings more than twenty years of engineering management experience to the company. Before joining Sonos, Calabria served as vice president of engineering at computer video pioneer Avid Technology. Before Avid, Calabria led the hardware engineering team for Pinnacle systems broadcast division in Mountain View, CA. Calabria accepted an Emmy award for pioneering work in full-motion PC-based video and was identified by Videography magazine as the Father of Desktop Video.
