SUMIKO has announced the appointment of Adrienne Alterman to the position of regional sales manager covering the South Central territory, which includes the states of Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Kansas.

Alterman will be representing SUMIKO’s exclusive portfolio of brands that includes Sonus faber loudspeakers, REL sub-bass systems, Wadia Digital, digital audio components, Pro-Ject Audio Systems turntables and electronics, SME turntables and tonearms, Sumiko Phono Cartridges and Okki Nokki record cleaning machines.

Adrienne grew up in the audio industry, as her father owned the New Orleans based three store chain, Alterman Audio. Upon graduation from the University of Denver, Adrienne joined audio retailer ListenUp as executive assistant to founder/co-owner Walt Stinson. During the next five years she rose the ranks within that organization working in E-Commerce, Promotions, Store Transitions as well as Retail Sales.

Norbert Schmied, VP of sales for SUMIKO, said: “Adrienne brings to our group a unique skill set that will be of great benefit to our retail partners. She has seen the high-end audio industry from several prospectives and I know she will become an asset to the specialty retailers SUMIKO supplies with world-class brands.”

“I am tremendously excited about joining SUMIKO,” Alterman said. “Their brands are some of the world’s finest audio products and for me, it is an honor to represent them. I look forward to meeting the dealers from across the region. Everything about this new position should be an opportunity to grow and learn.”
