Vantage, manufacturer of integrated control systems for luxury spaces, has launched the Equinox 41, Design Center 3.3, and Equinox 1.2 (firmware).
Vantage’s Equinox family of products simplifies the complex, providing a personalized interface that, when linked to its powerful InFusion system, deliver the means to efficiently create flexible, customized spaces with a subtle aesthetic.

Equinox 41
With its sleek and continuous glass LCD touchscreen, Equinox 41 (4.3” screen displaying 1 full widget) employs presence detection and light sensors to automatically wake-up to a desired scenario and adjust to ambient light conditions.
Equinox 41 users will enjoy a richer animated control system interface experience through a prescribed control environment featuring twelve pre-programmed widgets. It is simple to navigate with the swipe or tap of a finger. In addition two tactile buttons are available, one for home page navigation and the other for custom programming by a certified Vantage integrator.
Consistent Mobile Apps
The Equinox smartphone and tablet apps, designed for iOS and Android, are mobile manifestations of the on-wall Equinox 41 and 73 touchscreens respectively, providing a familiar experience across each platform. The apps are specifically designed to ensure that user interaction remains identical to that of the touchscreen GUI.
Exceptional Personalized Control
Equinox touchscreen and mobile app user interfaces offer extensive options for profiles to simplify control. Once configured by a Vantage integrator, the end-user can personalize or adjust, and save widget settings with a simple on-screen interface creating an individualized profile dashboard. There is no practical limit to the number of profiles that can be created. Each dashboard is accessed through a simple on-screen drop down. With a prescriptive template for quick programming and on-screen personalization capability Equinox delivers a truly unique end-user experience.
Simplified Interface Programming
The touchscreen and apps are initially introduced with twelve pre-programmed widgets for easy control of the most essential functions including the ten widgets currently available on Equinox 73 and mobile apps lighting, scenes, weather, climate, multi-zone audio, multi-zone video, home theater, cameras, security and pool/spa and two new widgets for shades and timers. With Equinox 41, Vantage will also release version 3.3 of Design Center (DC), Vantage’s integrator programming tool. Through DC Equinox widgets are automatically populated with information from the DC file – dramatically simplifying dealer interface programming and providing users with a consistent view of system functions.
The innovative design behind Equinox was driven by specific user feedback. “We listened to our customers and developed products that can evolve as a user’s needs change,” added Andrew Wale. “Equinox 41 embodies the full widget environment in a single gang device.”
The release of Equinox 41 follows the release of Equinox 73 and mobile apps in September 2013 and the December 2012 release of Equinox 40 and continues Vantage’s expanding line of intuitive in-wall LCD keypads, touchscreens and apps that offer the ultimate user experience and control interface in luxury spaces.
