After acquiring the Visualint brand in late November of 2016, SnapAV is now selling the company’s intelligent video analytics products and Virtual Technician configuration services on SnapAV.com.
“We’re excited to offer analytics to the wider CEDIA market,” said Alex Patrao, product manager of Luma Surveillance. “But don’t forget: our guys can also now take advantage of a free system design program or get analytics configuration from Virtual Technician. That’s a huge bonus. It frees up an incredible amount of time for the surveillance techs who’d normally be taking on these jobs, and lets them focus on customers and the experience they’re delivering.”
Visualint’s analytics enable cameras to track objects, understand their environments, and automatically adjust to scene changes or events, delivering alerts and notifications. These alerts can trigger customer events in control systems or even trigger events at professional video monitoring centers. Virtual Technician services are bundled with every camera, so integrators don’t need to worry about setting up unfamiliar or advanced configurations.
Former Visualint CEO Adrian Johnson is pleased with the smooth transition between the two partnering companies. “SnapAV has been very welcoming, both to me and to the entire Visualint team. In future, as we move forward, we’d like to encourage integrators to install, scale, and proactively manage hybrid security solutions—but for now, our work is only just beginning.”
