Vutec Corporation is now offering two new screens for 3D projection, the SilverStar 2D/3D-A (active technology) and SilverStar 2D/3D-P (passive technology). Both screens are engineered for both 2D and 3D capability.

Active and passive 3D technology currently requires 3D glasses, which can diminish image brightness by approximately 50 percent, according to Vutec. This is created by the polarization or the blanking process that is creating the 3D effect. The SilverStar screen is designed to reclaim the light lost from this process.
“We have placed an emphasis on research and development to help improve the advancement of 3D screen technology currently offered,” said Howard Sinkoff, CEO of Vutec.
SilverStar 3D is offered in standard sizes and can be custom made to order and multi-plexed for large applications.
